All the auto makers are developing EV's so we need to find ways to make them sustainable on both an environmental and financial level.  Instead of just bashing the concept, let's encourage some true innovation to make it work.

Is there a way to mass produce so many batteries and the tech to go with it?

Has anyone even looked into the way out there topic of using what we have for longer? We seem to now as a species want to/ need to replace everything every couple of years! If we just used and maintained what we had for longer it would be a massive relief on our resources. Not going to happen though as the human species is now conditioned to want, want, want and replace at the drop of a hat!!

Rant over, continue to make millions of cars worldwide... :)

Not with batteries. The simple truth is they are not efficient devices, as they need energy to produce energy. What needs to happen is make what uses batteries much more efficient, that would reflect to longer lasting batteries.

There is a light bulb that has been continuously burning since 1901, so you'd think with the technology and brains trust now they'd be able to work out how to make a battery last longer

Like that cancer or aids doctor/professor who was mysteriously murdered after he went public with his extraordinary findings of a possible cure, and all of his files were 'stolen in a random robbery' as the cops called it.

And the guy who invented a car that ran on water, killed in a car "accident" just after refusing to sell his idea to an oil company.

What a cynical bunch we are ?
