I've read many companies don't cover 'ring & other track shenanigans. Unless he has some warranty cover , and even then Porsche may have a disclaimer. Ouch. Raven Posted 20September, 2018 Report Share Posted 20September, 2018 The Nurburgring track rats thread on the Rennlist claimed this had something to do with an oil leak .. Many off those on that thread were there at the time ..
Teutonic Posted 20September, 2018 Report Share Posted 20September, 2018 Sad to see. The ring is regarded as a public road so he might have some chance. I guess it will be in the fine print.

SS 3 Posted 22September, 2018 Report Share Posted 22September, 2018 Does anyone know if its the .1 or .
Raven Posted 22September, 2018 Report Share Posted 22September, 2018 pretty sure it was a .1 and those who witnessed it said car was trailing oil smoke before it went up ..oil leak of some kind that could come from a number of places in the engine bay ... When you consider the volume of GT3,s that go around the ring each year ,you would have to expect the odd fire .. I am involved in Motor sport at a club level and we do get the occasional fire ...
