Bibbs Posted 3October, 2018 Report Share Posted 3October, 2018 Well, another day, another modification. 3 piece splitter from the US. The fitting hardware and notes. Gah, imperial sizes! Remove the old front bumper trim pieces Get the car in the air Drill a few holes Bolt it all together Then drive it round the block to let the suspension settle. Took about 30mins all in. sits well on the front. Will take it out for a spin over the weekend to see how it feels.
Troubleshooter Posted 3October, 2018 Report Share Posted 3October, 2018 Don't know what looks better, the splitter or the legs Next up, lowering!
Apogee Posted 3October, 2018 Report Share Posted 3October, 2018 Don't lower the car with the splitter on. I had 987.1 Boxster S with H&R lowering springs installed and with just the factory bar, I was scraping on almost everything - it was a PITB. With this splitter and lowering springs/coilovers installed - it will bound to scrape.
Bibbs Posted 3October, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 3October, 2018 Not sure on lowering. I'd prob drop below the min ride height laws. May look at coilovers when the shocks give up, but keep a good height. And don't dis the legs, they don't get out in the daylight often.

He posted on the 987 Boxster FB group I'm in. It comes in 3 pieces to help postage, and came with all the fitting hardware. Only odd tools needed were a square driver, and a 3/8" drill bit. Look for "Joe Toth Composites" on FaceBook, he was doing a deal for the first batch of orders. I ordered on the 19th, he posted on the 25th via UPS and I got it on the 1st. Was about $300 plus change all in, I think ..
Merv Posted 4October, 2018 Report Share Posted 4October, 2018 Looks decent. I wanted just some protection from front end scrapes on the front valence. This did the job https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-5m-8ft-Car-Front-Bumper-Protector-Lip-Kit-Splitter-Chin-Spoiler-Body-Trim-/232853897857?hash=item36372c8281

I've a few pairs of these. Used to be UK Army issue. I've a clean set for hiking, but this pair are old and are like slippers. Saves getting grease everwhere when I just slide them on and off hands free.
Euge Posted 12October, 2018 Report Share Posted 12October, 2018 Joe Toth. Good rep on planet-9 - Awesome choice! I'd love one myself if I wasn't so worried bout scraping and losing it
