356993??? Posted 26December, 2018 Report Share Posted 26December, 2018 I am starting to look at alternate seat options for a 924 ready for Targa use. I wonder what seat options will fit easily, be ergonomically ok without knees up near ears or hinder elbow across to gearshift, or what may fit with rail mods etc? It would be interesting to know what other Porsche cars have had successfully fitted alternate seats fitted too (and pics if possible ?)
LeeM Posted 27December, 2018 Report Share Posted 27December, 2018 You can make practically anything fit mate. I had 2 different sets of race seats in my SC that I attached the standard sliders to...no problems. Got tired of having to be a contortionist getting in and out, so now have some old adjustable Stratos seats that I did the same thing to in using the standard sliders. You just have to wing it and adjust as you go. Think I added and elongated a couple of holes in the bolsters that are welded to the floor, but nothing drastic. If you're going for race seats, you can either bolt them straight to the bolsters in a fixed position, or attach the sliders to the side supports that usually come with race seats unless you're tall of course.
