Crash Posted 28January, 2019 Report Share Posted 28January, 2019 G'day guys. Im a designer in Sydney who's creating a new watch brand inspired by classic cars but especially classic Porsches. The classic Porsche dial is the main inspiration. The plan is to create something special for my fellow car enthusiasts. I'm wonder your thoughts an opinions on which watch case and face you prefer! Also ill be releasing a series of racing coloured straps. Anything else you guy would like to see let me know. Straps made for seat belts? Straps made form tyres? Things like that. Any feedback is much appreciated!! Thanks, Crash.
LeeM Posted 28January, 2019 Report Share Posted 28January, 2019 Personally. Case 1 Face 2 with a weathered 'tan coloured' rally strap (similar to pictured) would be my preferance
Crash Posted 28January, 2019 Author Report Share Posted 28January, 2019 So one vote for Case one, with a preference for face 2. Thanks!

Jason A Posted 29January, 2019 Report Share Posted 29January, 2019 My feedback Have a look at a - Dennisov Speedster, great looking watch Black watches, not a fan as one scratch - looks ruined and not easy to repair.
Tips Posted 29January, 2019 Report Share Posted 29January, 2019 C1F1 ability to have interchangeable bands works for me. I like @JV911band suggestion
Crash Posted 29January, 2019 Author Report Share Posted 29January, 2019 Cheers for the feedback so far guys. So there will be a silver, black and gold version of each design. I posed all black to try and get non biased feedback. On the note of interchangeable straps How important is that to you guys?? Straps being offered will be nato, steel and leather. The nato straps will be famous facing colours (Gulf for example) @Tips @Jason A @JV911 @Carrera28 @81SC @LeeM @Mike

Tips Posted 29January, 2019 Report Share Posted 29January, 2019 I have a couple of watches that I can change bands on and do. I have seen a couple watch brands in this segment do 2 bands with each watch ie NATO and leather. Maybe offer as an option What indicative price bracket we talking crash? Crash Posted 1February, 2019 Author Report Share Posted 1February, 2019 @Tips At this point its hard to say. Swiss parts built in hong kong = $200 - $250 Swiss parts and Swiss made = $300 - $390 Made out of actual car metal and Swiss built = $1000+
Arnage Posted 2February, 2019 Report Share Posted 2February, 2019 Case 2 Face 1 You could have minute markers 16-18 white & 19-29 in red similar to 964 rev counter & easier to read. Early Porsche green gauges may inspire you as well. I like what you are doing.

For me it's unique car elements that woul have me reach for my wallet, but I may not be your target. i like arnarge idea on 901 inspired green gauge that soundslike a great homage design. In the porsche watch thread their was a group in the us doing a 911 watch with real metal from old 911's. I like your inspiration and desire, go for it.
