Picked this up yesterday. So I'm going to remove the Turbo S wing and pop the standard Turbo wing on my car. I prefer the standard wing.

Wasn't today, but yesterday, a little late at posting.

But the 911 and I went for a wheel alignment.

Too good a day here in Melbourne to not go for a drive.

Grabbed the little woman, and we jumped into the BBC and headed to Noojee for lunch.

place was chockers, lots of locals, not so locals and bikers (the friendly kind)

but food and service was excellent.

Only down side was .....the roads are in pretty ordinary condition.

Bowdens Own have a product that is really good for this. It's called Tar Tar

Tried it on the inside of the wheels and the last of the undercarriage, I think it may be OK on the painted surfaces for minimum spots , but was no where near as effective, I would say only 10%, as the pressure pack elcheapo, buy a box when it`s on special,2 bucks a can stuff from supercheap or autobarn on the caked on tar.

Great! How do you get something like that done? Who does it? Was it your design or select a pack from a website?? - this whole wrap thing is a mystery!

There are many vehicle wrapping specialists out there. I provided a concept design brief to the wrap company and then worked with one of their designers for about 3 weeks to sort the design. The car was then stripped and wrapped over about 4 days. Given the nature of my design the wrap was applied in sections, i..e white base, black base, stripes, graphics, logos etc. I engaged a separate designer to re-create my sponsors logo as vector files and I already had my own logo created as vector graphics by a designer last year.

Well, it certainly has a lot of detail.. hence time to design and apply. Well done, looks like a great result. As @Lee says, maybe more pics needed- agree!!

Q: whats the toughness factor, resistant to stone chips at the front, etc?? UV resistant?

Thanks, toughness ... time will tell. It's a race car so it's going to get more than stone chips and UV issues. The materials have a 5yr warranty. Workmanship 1 Yr.

As for other pics ... I'll get onto that soon enough but she'll be in the garage for a few days first so best I can do is another garage pic for now.

Well done, @stf911, at 90db you won't get locked up!! ... Those trumpets were pretty fierce!

Thanks Phil! I was very self  concious at over 100DB mate ?. I went for a quick spin today and it feels fabulous. The motor feels free-er and sounds glorious without  being obnoxious.

One problem though is that I'm having trouble keeping the steel wool exhaust packing in the pipes as I underestimated the huge pressure at high revs, so im thinking of a solution for that.

On another note, I've been researching back pressure and from what I've read and in my experience, on our cars, back pressure is an enemy.

Hope to see you soon! ??

Steel wool burns out in no time - hours. Stainless steel scourer - and also specifically marketed for mufflers (same stuff) - burns out quick as well - a week. Many sizes of these baffles below available on Ebay, they are cheap and they work and just need to drill and bolt them in, relatively easy in most cases depending if you want them entirely hidden or just mostly.

Edco Metal Scourer 1810 Stainless Steel Scourer Silver Single - 50G Long 8" Exhaust Baffle fit 50mm/2" Drag Pipe Silencer (Baffle O.D. 48mm)

Hi mate, thanks for the note.

Are you recommending not to use the wool above?

These are exactly what I have. Didn't burn (yet) and worked well until I drove at high RPM and the packing bunched up and choked the megaphones. I've now wrapped the wool around the baffles with steel wire and will drive again today.

Thanks again.

Just saying that I packed some after market bike mufflers on a GPZ1100 with that Stainless steel stuff and it lasted three afternoons of hard riding and i pulled the mufflers back off and it was sorta bunched up, disintegrated and sorta non existent and totally ineffective. Bolted some baffles in and no problemo!!

Excellent tip. Thank you, i shall get rid of the wool and just use the baffles. ??
