This thread shows an amazing detail done to a G series which has it looking like new!

Anyone know of someone in Melbourne who would be able to do similar without returning it with rattles and has such a great eye for detail?

I’d imagine a glass out respray to be considerably more expensive than a high end detail. No real need to completely pull the car to bits though for a good detail unless you are going for a concourse outright contender.

A mate with an SC was getting quotes of $25-35k just for a repaint, not bare metal, so I imagine what you're looking at doing would be a lot more than that

He should speak with Rohan at Skunkwerks, you should be getting a bare metal jobby for that level of spend.

He ended up getting a very OCD guy in Broken Hill (drove it from Adelaide) to bare metal and paint it for $15k including bodywork.

I'm in Armdale, Vic - But happy to travel to drop a car off for service like this...Have been known to drive long distances before for car stuff!

Give Jason a call 0412 568 666, very practical and will give you honest advice as to what's worth doing. He is based in Seaford.

Either way, anyone in Melbourne who we know of who could do this kind of detail? It seems pretty impressive.

Dan from http://dansgaragedetailing.com/  is definitely worth having a chat to (let him know I referred you).  I'm not sure on his current wait times however he will go as far as you wish and will give you a straight up idea on how long and how much you level of detailing will be.  I had Dan & 5 other detailers from Melbourne & Sydney on my C3.0 for a day and the result was outstanding....can still see the benefit two years on.

I have done fair bit of paint correction with my DAS6 polisher, but watching these guys work was impressive.  Smaller and more specialist pads and more specialised compounds.  Great work.
