Ando Posted 26October, 2019 Report Share Posted 26October, 2019 There is a fault with the ABS pump on these models, there are 2 plungers inside the ABS pump that seize up if the ABS is not used regularly. It seems common knowledge on overseas forums but I have not heard of it here in Oz https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/853080-964-abs-pump-cheap-repair.html
itsujack Posted 26October, 2019 Report Share Posted 26October, 2019 Thanks, I had previously heard about this, but hadn't come to mind in a few years. Sounds like I'll need another track day...

Stew F Posted 29October, 2019 Report Share Posted 29October, 2019 Wouldn't you agree that this is actually less of a fault, and more of a maintenance issue with a 30 year old assembly?
Coastr Posted 29October, 2019 Report Share Posted 29October, 2019 Plenty of 30yo cars with ABS still working fine though.
