MFX Posted 18December, 2019 Report Share Posted 18December, 2019 I know this is cliche title, but I did in fact buy the cheapest Porsche 911, C2, manual, coupe in the country that was currently available. 3legs, Rob H, Fraz and 10 others 12
Stepo Posted 18December, 2019 Report Share Posted 18December, 2019 I think many would like to do the same thing, they look like a good allrounder, nice addition! 👍 MFX

I am really loving it so far, besides trying to track down all of the squeaks and rattles in the interior, but I will sort that out

Damienb Posted 19December, 2019 Report Share Posted 19December, 2019 Great stuff Jeff. Love the 996, as do many others. Here's an old fave of mine for some post-purchase affirmation (PPA?) and maybe a little inspo (not that you need it) 3legs, The Caretaker, MFX and 1 other
LeeM Posted 19December, 2019 Report Share Posted 19December, 2019 @Damien B Here I am trying to forget about the thought of selling my oil dripper to buy a 996, and here you are posting that video I've watched 147 times! 🙄 Great vid though. Shame it's not longer

daveyoul Posted 20December, 2019 Report Share Posted 20December, 2019 Well done @MFX, as others have said, looking forward to seeing what you do with it! @LeeM, do you STILL not have a 996? Come over to the dark side...mmmm love it, you will! LeeM
Coastr Posted 20December, 2019 Report Share Posted 20December, 2019 I think the car looks great, perfect daily. You’re right on that grey interior though. The designers really phoned that one in. All those ovals and circles and plastic. I suppose in time we will find it retro and cool. MFX and AdRock

Yeah thanks Yoda! 🙄 😉 They're fantastic cars, and I was very tempted a few weeks ago with something, yet after MUCH deliberation (usually head banging against a wall) and weighing up a few things, I'll be sticking with my old thing for the foreseeable future. ...until I change my mind again ofcourse 🙄 13 hours ago, PhilH said: Come on Lee, you know you want one....Just DO IT 🙂 I've been waiting for you to chime in 🙄😉 MFX
MFX Posted 20December, 2019 Author Report Share Posted 20December, 2019 The worst part so far is the squeaks and rattles in the interior on the freeway. I have a can of silicon spray in the passenger seat and I am spraying in every crevice to try and silence them, but there is still one main one which seems to be from under the gauge pod area, which is still driving me crazy
