Since taking delivery of the vehicle from Buchanan's I have conducted a comprehensive program of replacing or refreshing the vehicles systems as required.  I will list them in chronological order with dates so potential buyers are fully aware of what's been undertaken.  I have conducted most of the following work myself under the guidance of a long time Porsche enthusiast generous with his hoist, tools & knowledge.  Some work has been conducted by DHM Porsche here in Brisbane.

........................................................................................

The original D90 wheels are still fitted.  I had them refinished & painted by Alloy Doctor here in Brisbane in black/ silver along with the callipers refinished in red (they were originally black with white Porsche decals). 14 July 17.

As listed I have had the car tinted with Iridium 35 by Tint-a-Car.  All glass has been filmed as the Iridium rejects over 90% of heat transfer & nearly all UV.  I did this to protect the dash/ interior & combined with great A/C makes the car far more comfortable in summer.

I have thousands of dollars worth of parts waiting to be fitted to the car.  I have been slowly accumulating parts so that when my house was finally built I'd have a workshop to work in where I could start completing  some of the non urgent jobs.  The reality is though with a 4.5 year old there is never time sadly.

Major projects to be completed.

Interior - Overall the interior is excellent.  I have some new parts waiting fitment to replace some areas that are worn - they are hard to spot initially.  The head liner needs refurbishing.

Exterior - while the paint is quite presentable I'd love to have some quality correction undertaken in the future.

Refurb the instrument lights - I have the parts to do the job - just haven't found the time - relatively simple.  Light is dull rather than bright.

.......................................................................................................................................................

Not an exhaustive list but reasonably thorough.

Whoa, well this is a bolt from the blue, truly a nice car, been on a few runs with this car and someone will get a good S2 here.

GLWS @Jason E, i know you have put a lot of time and effort into this car.

Cheers mate,

My wife's business is being very hard hit by this fucked Covid arsehole virus.  We have 9 people that rely on us for wages so I can't keep a toy whilst laying people off.  We've had to put them all on reduced hours & 2 are getting the hard news this week.  Looks bad if we aren't making sacrifices.  My wife is stopping her wage, I'm selling the P Car.  Looks like I might need to ride shotgun with you as Navigator on the next drive. (sad emoji).

and the asking price??

negotiable.  I think it's worth somewhere in the 30's based on the work completed, but it's really worth what a buyer is prepared to pay.  So if there is any serious interest I am willing to have a chat.

sorry to hear of your sale.

A responsible but im sure a tough decision.

If its any consolation, if your ever in Vic, and can drag me to a meet, the passenger seat yours.

You might have to put up with the stigma of 2 blokes in a Boxster and automatic questioning of ones orientation that goes with it.

Best of luck with the sale.

much appreciated.  Nothing wrong with a Boxster.  If/ when things recover it'll probably be a Boxrod next for me.

+1 on this car.

Hopefully the gov will release something asap about how they're going to support wages and you can keep your car safe and sound. They need to do something asap otherwise there's going to be very long unemployment lines.

It pretty grim at the moment Wayne.  We are luckier than most as we were in a pretty good position before this kicked off.  It's just been like getting hit with a barrage of torpedoes.  Thank Christ I've got a Government job & we'll have one wage coming in for the foreseeable future.  Depending on how things go I may end up selling myself down on the local corner (again☺️).

Sorry to hear about your situation Jason, I hope things work out for you in the near future.

You've done a great job in getting your S2 upgraded in all the right areas.  I can see the dollars spent and also expect some blood, sweat and tears along the way, must be a hard decision but a good opportunity for someone looking to own one of these underrated cars.

Good luck with everything mate ;)

Cool, if he's interested he can leave a message & I'll get back as soon as I'm able.  I've been seconded to a Covid response planning group so things are a bit hectic just now 😀.  Thanks for the interest.

It has been a long road (haha see what I did there?).  Someone will get a reliable car (far from perfect but well on it's way) to have fun with.  Thanks for the good vibes.

You don't seem to be able to receive messages?

Hi, standby, it's probably because my Financial Member status came up for payment last week & I haven't yet paid it.  I'll rectify that.

You can message me meanwhile on

jasoneacott71@hotmail.com

Not sure how long it takes to update.  I've paid so hopefully PFA messages should be available soon.  Probably go with the email if you like for the moment - jasoneacott71@hotmail.com

cheers,

Jason
