I know this not a GT4 it's a GTS, and I know it's a 2014 video _ BUT I do love the comparison 996 GT3 (Mk2) to Cayman GTS on track.

Thanks Windsor. loved watching that.

Actually, it's left me with a silly smirk  :Chuckle2:.

Ooh hang on a minute, 500hp, RS badge and cornering on 2 wheels.......no doubt 300+, too dear.

Like the regular Cayman GT4, the new RS will pack a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine. While this unit produces 414 horsepower in the Cayman GT4, the hardcore RS version will increase the output to 500 hp according to the publication.

Left garage I added to the original house. It is 2m wider and 2m deeper than the right one. You could probably fit 10 cars in the left one depending on cars and how creative you want to be, but I only park 4 in there currently. Right one is connected to the house.

The photo is deceptive, all the doors on the left garage are way larger than standard. The doors were custom made to fit. Now that we’re 8 years down the track I wish it was bigger :)

I love Jethro but this comparison couldn’t have been more rigged. 996 GT3 is more or less quicker than a GT4 so should run circles around a GTS.

My wife has always loved the Cayman's and said it will be her "50th" birthday present. I've been initially thinking a 981S with a neat spec but I'd love to stretch it to a GT4.

Go the 4, they’ll be $80k soon.......😂

I've always been a fan of these, they appeal to my small (ish) playful GT car desires.

If mine had cage & seat, I’d have fitted exhaust and plenum by now and be punching  it round the tracks. Epic chassis.

New model for 220k plus on roads. Club sport too.
Good luck to old mate trying to get 210k for his 3.8 Black one.

Nice specs in this car too. Base boggo 718 GT4 is $219k before dealer delivery and stamp duty so well priced for some cashed up buyer who owns loads of Netflix and Amazon shares.

Looking at the carsales specs, is the 982 really 80 kegs heavier than the 981? I suppose the particulate filters have something to say for that?

Can you bin those?  Sorry, I mean remove and store for future reinstallation....

fit a titanium exhaust?

I could lose 10-15 kg which would help although ISO grog consumption is not helping 😂

@spiller it might be the new rules of kerb weight, has to be full of all fluids etc. I recall reading about this recently - there was a change in the rules.

Makes sense,  fluids would account for 40 kg easily. Maybe the other 40 is the particulates.

Surely this will be the first mod many will do!
