Description

Max Hoffman, a successful Porsche salesman in the USA, had the idea in 1952 to bring a light, open and particularly sporty version of the 356 to America and is letting the? American Roadster? develop with aluminum body. Due to the very high price at the time, Hoffman was only able to sell 24 units. Only the Speedster made from sheet steel enabled cheaper production and more sales. The Speedster was made for the wealthy clientele of Hollywood. Ever since James Dean drove the Speedster, the purest of all Porsche has become an icon of the Zuffenhausen sports car brand.

This Porsche Speedster was manufactured according to KARTEX in 1955 and delivered via the importer Hoffman in New York. The car built up completely new on bare metal in Germany by a Porsche Specialist. This Speedster has a German road approval and is Mille Miglia approved due to its early year of construction.

Four cylinder boxer engine, 1582 cm³, approx. 60 HP

Would love to have that pleasure.
