Nikos Posted 29June, 2020 Report Share Posted 29June, 2020 Hi Guys, My car had some gutter rash on a couple of the rims when I bought it and I've done a quick search but can only find interstate recommendations. Obviously I want it done right, and not have to worry about sealers peeling off in patches in the future. The wife has come across a Sydney company called Platinum Wheel Repairs. They appear to do some high end cars and are a mobile service. Might be ok for a daily, but I want the job done properly for my Porsche. I remember seeing something a while ago that was recommended in Sydney, but can't find it now. Who would you recommend please. I'm looking for a long term repair. Nikos Posted 29June, 2020 Author Report Share Posted 29June, 2020 I've had a BMW Demo touched up via the dealer before handover, and after about 1-2 yrs the clear coat was peeling off in patches. If you want a shop where you can drop them and get a full front to back refurb try Ben in Artarmon 0414 380 969 also refurbs older Fuchs. I had some small gutter rash on my BMW 325CI fixed up and they look as good as new. From memory it was around $430.00. He came out to my house and did the repair. When I had my 944 I was looking to get the teledials redone and I think, but may not be 100% correct, was recommend to Virgin Wheel Repairs. Was quite pricey ($250+ per wheel) but was highly recommended. I didn't end up getting the wheels done in the end but would have probably gone there if I still had the car. I hope that this helps.
