Donald-Adelaide Posted 3July, 2020 Report Share Posted 3July, 2020 Car is running a bit warm 84 (NA manual) and was wondering whether anyone had managed to find a decent source of radiators in Australia. It seems to be Ebay Chinese at $265 or $1200 locally made.
944 Geek Posted 3July, 2020 Report Share Posted 3July, 2020 If you haven't already, make sure your thermostat is genuine Porsche. They have a bigger orifice. Sometime people replace them with aftermarket generic and this causes problems. Then make sure your fans are coming on. The fan switch is in the radiator. Check fans are running at the proper speed. When they die they sometimes run slowly.
Donald-Adelaide Posted 3July, 2020 Author Report Share Posted 3July, 2020 Thanks, I'm looking to upgrade the fan, the current one is cable tied in and looks a bit tatty. Just like to know my options before I start pulling things apart. Thanks for the heads up on the thermostat.
Jason E Posted 3July, 2020 Report Share Posted 3July, 2020 I'd contact Buchanan's Automotive in Sydney, they'll be able to point you in the right direction. @Buchanan Automotive
