Nick Holden Posted 8July, 2020 Report Share Posted 8July, 2020 Hi Guy's, I was hoping someone could tell me where I can source a new one or have my existing HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) rebuilt. Porsche want $3000 for a new unit FYI and I can buy them off ebay for $600 but from China and will be aftermarket, which i am fine with if it works. I used to be a mechanic in a former life so I am capable of swapping it out if I can get one at a reasonable rate in Australia. Cheers, Nick
P-Kay Posted 8July, 2020 Report Share Posted 8July, 2020 If it's the one I am thinking of, it is the same as on the Audi. Perhaps a part number comparison?
Nick Holden Posted 9July, 2020 Author Report Share Posted 9July, 2020 Hi, thank you I will check. Porsche gave me a part number of 94811031507
P-Kay Posted 9July, 2020 Report Share Posted 9July, 2020 Ideally you need the Bosch part number, then you can cross shop - Good luck!
3legs Posted 9July, 2020 Report Share Posted 9July, 2020 Have a look at this. At that price you can buy 3 and still be in front. https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32965166999.html Yeah I know it's from china but at that price it's worth a go. I've bought stuff from Aliexpress before ( not for a Porsche ) and so far so good.
WB997.2GTS Posted 9July, 2020 Report Share Posted 9July, 2020 If you are in NSW try Hitech parts in Cardiff, SGS Thornleigh these are both dismantlers and good to deal with, try Tooley Imports at Frenchs Forest they import new parts for all VAG cars. If neither has what you want ask for a recommendation of who might have it as there a few aftermarket parts suppliers in Sydney. If it’s a 3.0lt then the same engine was used in the Touareg and Q5/7 Audi’s. Let us know the results.
