DavidW•GT3• Posted 27July, 2020 Report Share Posted 27July, 2020 Stick with this video and watch a 7yo give his dad instructions around the nurburgring. Apparently it's the youngsters 500th lap! Awesome stuff. tk111, Raven, firstone and 1 other

3legs Posted 27July, 2020 Report Share Posted 27July, 2020 Ah the advantages of youth. Hasn't had enough experience to know what terror is. I love it when he says you can go full throttle now if you want. No fear. Raven and DavidW•GT3•
KGB Posted 27July, 2020 Report Share Posted 27July, 2020 I'm no safety Nazi, but no shoulder strap? Otherwise sensational.

This guy had a video a couple of months ago with his thoughts on belts for himself which I tend to agree with. His basic argument was the only acceptable options was a standard three point with/without a helmet or a harness and HANS device due to the risk that wearing a harness without a HANS presents (mainly Basilar skull fracture). I assume he made a call on safety here and thought he didn't want to run a harness for his kid without a HANS or a shoulder strap relocation on a kids seat which to be honest I'd be a bit suspect of in a big crash.
