I ashamed.

Fired up the 991.1 RS yesterday.

Glorious.

Then checked the time.  Hah! Thought it was later than that,  no need to hurry.

Then checked my watch.  Ummm. It’s been so long since I drove it that I didn’t adjust for daylight savings.  Making up for that this week though.  Driving it it all week to work and other places.

Crickey its a good thing.

No need to change the clock. Just wait a week.

My first drive through the hills today in my "new" 986S.

Montacute, Norton Summit, Lobethal, Hahndorf and back to home again the same way.

Patchy wet roads and occasional drizzle didn't dampen the enthusiasm and pleasure of the drive over those superb roads.

Love my new Boxster, with the sports exhaust making nice flat 6 turbine like sounds.  Happy days!

Nice one @Rob H.  Sounds like you should bring it out to the semi-regular Sunday group, meeting at Uraidla Sunday mornings around 8am.

Thanks for the invitation. I may take you up on that. 45 minute drive to get there, but bonus is part of the commute is Greenhill Road!!

Where are you located Rob? I'm in Park Holme

If my fuel relay is fixed this week (don't hold ya breath) I'll try and organise a run with some of the other clowns

Sharing the love around this past weekend. Out driving the roads around the hills behind my village. First in the 991 RS on Saturday and then the 996 RS on Sunday. Glorious! It's a great time of year to be in the UK. I will miss this when I get back to OZ.

Honestly, more often than not, it depends on what day it is. The order last week was 964 RS, 991.2 RS, 996 RS, 997.2 RS.  This week it's 991.2 RS, 996 RS, 964 RS, 997.2 RS. The only thing that doesn't seem to change is that I pretty much always rank the 997.2 RS last.

There is no doubt that the 991.2 RS is the best car by a country mile. The things you can do with that car are extraordinary.....BUT...if I was only allowed one of these cars for the rest of my life....I would most likely chose the 964 RS.

Just returned today from a week of driving around Tasmania with some great folks and great cars.

It was my first time driving around Tas in the 911, but it certainly won't be the last!

Great organisation from Michael Bailey from PCV.

A couple of photos I managed to snap along the way.

All waiting at the Spirit of Tas in Melbourne for boarding.

Went on a 4 day road trip with the editor of Total911 magazine last weekend. There will be a story in the magazine about the trip in a coming edition.

A friend of mine had hired the Abbeville track in France for the whole week and invited a bunch of friends to join him. He took a 10 cars from his collection including a DP 935, 930 Turbo S Flatnose, 911 SCRS, Ruf CTR Yellowbird, 964 Cup, 944 Cup, etc. We drove my Touring and my GT3 RS from the UK across to Abbeville. I also got my 964 RS trucked to the track. It was a fantastic two day playing with the three cars on track.

We then drove from Abbeville to Spa for two days track work in the Touring and RS. Weather was largely atrocious. No more than 4C with a whole half day lost due to snow! Only managed to get 1 dry 45min session in over two days. We covered 1,600kms over the two days including 400kms on track. A total of 700 kms on track across the three cars. Notwithstanding the bad weather it was still a fun trip.

Living the dream!

@WGA... just curious, does a 964rs feel like an old time slug (or Datsun 180b) after zinging around in a cup car, gt3rs, etc?

special? Yep, you said it, Hugh!!

Yep, very slow. But fun...although you need arms like a gorilla to man handle on a track without power steering. After 6 laps, your done.

Turning heads at the garden centre.

Easter Monday, cracking autumn day to get the GT3 out for a cruise up to the Barossa Valley with friends... a couple of wineries, then a lazy long lunch at Saltrams.

Got distracted whilst doing a wine tasting when I saw my car perfectly framed through the old cottage window.....

Car ran beautifully & even wifey commented that it was a ‘nice’ drive.

Hmmm, was afraid you were gonna say that. So feels like you can’t (prefer not) drive an AC car on the track any more when there’s these modern space ships now available....? Except @hugh seems to feel otherwise...  My fear is:

I’ve never driven a modern Porsche and even though there’s that underlying desire to get in one or eventually own one, but equally... a part of me fears I should never do it as I may lose my enjoyment of and start feeling the age of my car (get bored with it).   And with the price of AC cars going up, I may end up in no mans land... can’t afford either! Not like some.. 😋

Therefore, does it make more sense for the modern GT cars to stick to the  track  and old AC cars for road? If I had the money, that’s maybe how I could live with both.... (?). 🤓
