Although after a bit of Rennlist research, I solved my problem of the dash fan not working since deleting the blower motor. Had glorious heat in the cabin this morning! 9 minutes ago, hugh said: If only I'd known, would have loved to come along. I thought you were having another crack at the suspension, it was on front jack stands yesterday.

Might have just been inspecting some things as I'd asked them to. But the ride on the KW's has been a big improvement on the PSS10's. Actually I just remembered. We changed steering rack bushings so that’s what would have been happening!
TwoHeadsTas Posted 30May, 2020 Report Share Posted 30May, 2020 4 of us GT3s got together for a quick little run this morning - 4 different GT3 models - 996.1, 996.2, 996.2 RS and 997.1. Very enjoyable little 120kms jaunt in Northern Tassie, including Targa stages and a couple of other great country roads. I'm also starting to think that no matter what state or town your in, Porsches and Bakery's seem to go hand in hand. Skidmarks Posted 5June, 2020 Report Share Posted 5June, 2020 Went to Winton today with a few likely lads. Took the IROC out for a run. Blue sky, dry track. What could go wrong? The joys of not seeing fatigue cracks in magnesium wheel centres But wait, there’s more. The aftermath Broke a brake calliper but had a spare. Then the boys did a bit of “mending” And just to make sure everyone saw the repair ... As you can see, we bolted on the spare wheels and went for a skid! Clocked a low 29 after that. Happy days. Now the boys at Skunkwerks get out the magic putty and fix all that carbon fibre so it’s perdy again and we’re all good. Oh, and the remaining 2 wheels sets are being dismantled, blasted and x-rayed before I use these again. The wheel broke at turn one. Just after turn in having grabbed a fair bit of kerb and loaded the crap out of the right rear. And .... BANG. I made it up over the hill, the outer came away from the car and came to rest by the drivers side door. LeeM Posted 5June, 2020 Report Share Posted 5June, 2020 You'll be emtering the Adelaide rally then @hugh? $200 off before June 30 Jeez @Skidmarks, you and Winton don't get on very well do you? Same spot of the melee in TCR wasn't it? Gotta love cable ties though 👍 I crashed at turn one grabbing the brakes in top gear on the bike in the wet there. Felt like I slid for 4kms on my arse 😁 Love that track though hugh

TwoHeadsTas Posted 7June, 2020 Report Share Posted 7June, 2020 Another post-Covid breakout run for a few us in Northern Tas - 5 today, including 74 RSR, 6.1 GT3, 6.2GT3, 7.1GT3 and 7 Turbo. For more info on the RSR check out @MFX's Tassie Tour video from a couple of months back. Run was in the same areas as last week's but we used some different roads to avoid recently re-sealed sections, only to find more of course 😞 MFX, tomo and Niko

3legs Posted 7June, 2020 Report Share Posted 7June, 2020 Took the 928 for it's first long run in a while today. Love the oomph it feedbacks when given a "tickle" Scenic shot my daughter took today. Dalai Posted 7June, 2020 Report Share Posted 7June, 2020 I would even go as far to suggest Covid-19 is a hoax created by Tasmanian motoring enthusiasts to get the borders locked to keep those roads all to themselves!
