SteveF Posted 23November, 2020 Author Report Share Posted 23November, 2020 The beast has arrived!! CEVA dropped off the car this afternoon. The arrival caused quite a stir at the local tennis courts across the road with all the kids (and adults) coming over for a look! Not having seen the car, apart from by video with James, it is a gem!! As with any car of this age there are a few bits and bobs to do but that is part of the fun. Overall it is in great condition. Thank you again James. All booked in for belts, water pump and anything else urgent for next week then on historic plates.I can't wait to go for a drive. Thanks @Dreamr for coming down for the official unveiling! firstone, Stepo, James P and 9 others

firstone Posted 24November, 2020 Report Share Posted 24November, 2020 Drop this here. There's a guy near me with wrecked restored 924s near me. I dropped in today and he has a few. If someone wants his contact I'm happy to ask. SteveF
SteveF Posted 24November, 2020 Author Report Share Posted 24November, 2020 I am looking to freshen up some of the rubber items including the rear spoiler and was recommended to use Bowdens Mr Black. Has anyone used this before? Is says for use on plastics but also mentions bumpers.
TINGY Posted 24November, 2020 Report Share Posted 24November, 2020 Used it on my 996 and other cars, very happy, I got Mr Black not the kit.
SteveF Posted 24November, 2020 Author Report Share Posted 24November, 2020 Thanks @TINGY996 for letting me know. I will give it a go. TINGY
SteveF Posted 25November, 2020 Author Report Share Posted 25November, 2020 Further to my post above The Mr Black is only suitable for plastics and not the rubber. I have done some research and found a number of producst which are specifically designed to rejuvenate and protect the rear rubber spoiler which include: Duragloss Rubber Bumper & Trim Autoglym Bumper Care Mothers Back To Black Vaseline! Does anyone used any of the above or recommend something else for this purpose?
Paulm Posted 25November, 2020 Report Share Posted 25November, 2020 I use good quality boot polish for all the rubber
dobbo Posted 27November, 2020 Report Share Posted 27November, 2020 Mothers back to black seems to work on my 928 trim and spoilers. SteveF
