Hi Everyone

I have just read on another US forum that the rear seats need the “red knobbed” rear locking pins and not just to use the leather strap? As all seats need to be able to be locked in place for Australian compliancE

is this correct?

thanks for your help

Australian cars were delivered with the locking pins. However, I have seen PLENTY of imported cars that have gained approval with the original leather straps.

I can also attest to the fact that the locking pin mod is a complete pain in the a$$ as the top of the tunnel will need fabrication work.

I'm not suggesting what you should/shouldn't do, just hoping to shed some light from experience.
