Love the video - good idea also!  I like the wheel trolleys and tool box setup.

My pet ambition is to sort out air, I've taken note on having the setup outside for noise.

Having plumbed in air is useful but I found I am using air less and less. Cordless tools are so much better these days. I just changed over to a cordless die grinder today and it is MUCH better than the air one.

+1 for cordless.

I agree - all you need these days is a 20m airline on a retracting coil.  I've pretty much stopped using air tools as the cordless stuff really is getting so good now.  I'm getting ready to upgrade - I've been using some older tech Bosch green 18v stuff and am researching what brand I want to go to.  I have Ryobi 36v garden stuff which is as good as petrol around my average to small yard and garden.  But I think the Milwaukee mechanic range is a better fit for my garage.

My 2-car garage upgrade has included painting the floor in 2 pack.  I've retrofitted my old kitchen cabinetry down into the garage, repainted the doors, and put on some cheap Bunnings bench tops on the cabinetry to tie it all in. Garage has a TV and a bluetooth speaker for tunes.  The other really pleasing upgrade I made was to add LED strip lights to replace the old fluros - one of them has an inbuilt motion sensor so there is always light when needed or when you drive into the garage.

I'd really like it more so for cleaning and blowing out dust etc when doing any detail work or washing.  As far as tools go I use cordless also.

We've got two garages at home, one for the daily drivers with a work bench area for the pushbikes and a secondary one with dual hoist for other cars.  Pretty simple affair with tiled floors and cabinets for storage, small tool box and kit for work on bikes and minimal stuff on cars (wheels, pads, oil changes etc)

The auto lighting is a great idea, and I definitely need to change out the fluoros for some better LED's.

Pretty sure I'm a hoarder compared to @Raven ... Or possibly just a hoarder full stop.

Every time I see a Raven garage post I walk out to my car areas and shake my head, walk back inside, threaten to do something about it but never do.

I've got a huge new shed build in the works (800sqm). Fingers crossed it solves the problem for at least the next 20 years.

I also have a shed up my farm , and that,s where I dump all my junk and crap I dont want hangin around .My first world problem is that the farm is being sold , and I have to figure out what to do with some of that crap :Chuckle2:

@sleaziusYou can never have to bigger shed or garage space 800sqm is a great size .I looked at 500sqm factory units and that is certainly something I may consider in future , move the Race cars , race trailer there and set up another hoist and workshop for those cars ...

So true Raven about you can never have a too big a shed. Around 20 years ago I tacked on a 6m x 8m shed onto the back of my single car garage ( which is now my workshop ) within a week of the concrete dryIng I filled it up with my cars and bikes and ran out of room so I rang the builder and said can you come back and extend it another 7 metres and i've still managed to fill it up.

I want to extend it again another 7 metres but my missus has put her foot down and told me in no uncertain terms "NO" :)

I have plans for a new house and a bigger shed in the works. I am definitely looking forward to having a clean garage on the house, and a separate workshop. At the moment I only have the one space so I am definitely jealous of the 2 separate spaces. A sink and a toilet will definitely be going into the next shed.

Hi Jeff and 1q,

I have recently (VERY) almost finished my garage..... I used to have a nice one in a former life and couldn't wait to get a proper one again.

I recently built a new house - and despite my garage being the fist place that floor space was taken from.. I am VERY happy.

I wanted to keep "dirty" work in my newly built shed - and have this more of a place to hang out (although none of my mates have seen it in person yet..)

Lockdown has been good in this case....

I do basic wrenching but also find the cleaning process very therapeutic.

Anyway - over to some pics:

1 - Flooring almost complete - Prior to house hand over:

In the process of getting cabinetry up (junk everywhere)

These 2 are the wrong way round - but you get the drift...

Cabinets in!! Under the watchful eye of the boss - Junk is starting to find its home.....

A/C unit in, Tv Mounted, artwork starting to go up.... - Oh and most of the car stuff away AND the Shed (now built in the backyard) housing all of the tools and "dirty Equipment)

Some of the cars in....

That is a really nice clean set up, I wish my garage could be that clean, but I know myself and that is never going to happen :D

I have also been looking at those lights for my garage, as I am always looking for more light when filming.

Got 2 toilets in my current shed (boys and girls), highly recommended. Kitchenette is also handy.

As mentioned above , if you have the space and the funds to do so ,make the shed as big as possible , I  guarantee you will use every square meter of space no matter how large it is

They always start out empty, and it doesn’t take long to fill them. My current shed is 260sqm. When I moved here I thought I’d never fill it, yeah right.

If it wasn’t for the missus deciding there will be no tin sheds on our property, the new one would be bigger again than what I’ve planned. Have thought about buying a factory but having all the toys onsite is far too convenient.

Love that lighting. Just overall a really nice space to be in. Looks awesome.

Ok Lee I will post mine. I was going to wait until i've finished Mad Max and cleaned the place but what the hell.

It's not in the same league as some of you guys sheds but it's my fortress of solitude ( get away from nagging women-my missus and daughter :) )

The first one is just after I extended the shed another 7 metres.

Then after selling some cars and cladding the walls and putting in some carpet squares.

Also a few bikes restored and needing restoration. The shed is a bloody mess at the moment as I have several projects going on at once.
