CIS Airbox Leak - Smoke Test

I acquired a car a short while ago with the stock CIS.

Car runs well but has high idle speed, which even with the idle bleed screw CLOSED, is still around 1200 rpm when warm! Also, removing the oil cap, made no appreciable difference to the idle speed... Hence, vacuum leaks.

I spent some time removing the airbox and all his friends from the engine bay and decided after getting it out, that I wouldn't bother attempting to reinstall it all in the car.... I would pull the engine and install on the test stand... may as well do a valve clearance check etc too.

Here is a video I made (sorry, it's not up to the standards of Jeff!) but it shows the leaks on the airbox and also around the pop off valve ...

Feel free to scroll through to around halfway to really see the leaks.

Another thing I learned, is that baby oil in liquid form might smell nice, but in smoke form, it lingers and is nasty!
