Happy New Year ,

hope all of you had a blessed Christmas and a good break. Planning a social run on Sunday 9/1/2022 . General direction will be Eildon.  Driving through many back roads , we will arrive in Alexandra for a pit stop and coffee break. A couple of choices from there , : You can continue to Swanpool and attend the Shannons  Swanpool Motor Festival , with a great variation of cars , bikes , Trucks , etc on display. I attach the flyer , so you can read up on the event. Alternatively ( or both) , you can continue to the Eildon lookout , which makes for a very nice hillclimb with fantastic views and scary elevations. If you head back from there , you still will be back before lunch. Attending the car meet and spending a couple of hours or so , will see you back home 2 pm ish. We keep the numbers to 10 cars , first come , best serve , however I would encourage as many people as possible to make down their own way to Swanpool.

Meet 9/1/22 @6:30 am for 6:45 am start at York on Lilydale carpark. If you are planning to come along , please confirm asap , bring a radio and a full tank.

Hope to see you and your cars. Arne.

We are now full with 10 cars . If anybody is still interested , please post and let me know. We might have 1 or 2 cars pulling out , due to unforeseen circumstances.

I reckon all will be truly finalized Friday 7/1/22.

What a great day we had.

Everybody turned up this morning and we were able to get going in good time. Weaved our way through backroads until we hit the Melba. A little bit of wet out of Healesville , but glorious weather after that. Arrived in Alexandra for a break , Coffee and some breakfast.  We continued to the Skyline Eildon lookout and about 7 cars set sail to Swanpool from there and about 4 cars called it a day and headed for home. Great show of cars in Swanpool , Mustangs , early Holdens , Beetle , and a good number of P cars. Another group of Porsches arrived , Scott leading the way, great mix we had , anything from GT3's, crocs , Turbos , earlier 911's . In fact , P cars were by far the largest group , representing a single marque.  The cars were fantastic to look at , and we had good food , great chats , meeting familiar and new faces. Thank you everybody who came along. I hope all of you made it home safe. The BBC was a dirty girl today, and was facing stiff competition , but incredible to say , she got the people choice award once again. Not sure if this was legit???. Cheers, Arne.  ( Hoping for some photos to be uploaded by some of you).
