DM911 Posted 16January, 2022 Report Share Posted 16January, 2022 Its an unpleasant squeak. ! It's a no way in comparison to a naturally combusting engine, doesn't mater how fast it goes on the track. SORRY.

sleazius Posted 16January, 2022 Report Share Posted 16January, 2022 Ironically there was a period of time ~110 years ago where there were roughly equal numbers of petrol and electrIc cars made, and it was uncertain which would win out. sjm and Fishcop

He designed the world's first hybrid (1900), and his first car was all electric in 1898. History that most people have forgotten. Maybe not but this happened, https://www.hotcars.com/porsche-is-selling-more-taycans-than-911s/ that sound is horrid, could not even watch the whole video, I hope the Taycan has a different sound. At the moment they can't deliver cars so I don't think 2021 figures can give a clear picture.

Tyre roar and wind noise at least in a Taycan 4S is what you hear, there is no whine. If you have it optioned, it makes this noise like something out of a sci-fi movie. Interestingly the optional sound was slightly different between the Taycan and the Cross Turismo. I drove each of them 3 or 4 months apart.
