996 Brighton Baths Catchup 7:30am this Sat (Melb)

Recommended Posts

So I thought I'd get a FB account to learn more about local drives, spare parts being sold and general tech info...

One thing leads to another an I end up organising a 996 meet Bayside Melb

If you have a 996 and interested in talking about them maybe I'll see you down at the Brighton Baths tomorrow morning for a short chinwag

coffee nearby?

I just phoned and The Baths Cafe will have a coffee cart setting up at 7:30 for 8am serving so you should be able to get a fix.

I chose the earlier time to try and get grouped parking and avoid early morning beachgoers.

Also interested. Though another 996 lover and not owner...

Exemption granted Martin, it all stemmed from the 996 FB page and I was just trying to drum up some local interest.  Once you see the lovely 996's you'll want to sell your 3.2 and get into one anyway , or better still, just add to the stable, you need a bigger garage and two stackers to go with that new drive!

Hope to see you there mate

I've bent the rules a little based on positive and negative interest, was hoping to drive the 996's out of the woodwork but if your local and keen to talk Porsche hope to see you tomorrow morning, whatever you drive.

3.2 is a keeper. If need be I'll be selling my house before that car!

Given how well @PhilH looks after his cars (my 3.2 was previously owned by him), I am waiting for him to sell his 996. ;)

I definitely see a 996 even if not Phil's in my future - awesome cars!

Great turnout and lovely morning to catch up for a chat and coffee. Only finally scattered when the parking inspector came along!

Thanks for organising @Stepo

That's why I'd pay a premium to buy his 996  if ever for sale!

Thank you Stepo for invite.  Great morning on the beach , talking all things 996 and more. Really good to catch up , meet some New faces as well. The colour of choice was black ,  some real nice cars on display. Any photos anybody? 👍

Thanks for coming along guys, we need more of this to bring back normality.

I learnt a lot this morning from having similar cars with so many differences, really enjoyed chatting about all things Porsche, great bunch of people.

I took a few pics which I will post when I can do it properly.
