911virgin Posted 29January, 2022 Report Share Posted 29January, 2022 Where actually is this? Not the vin but the build plate. I'm googling and no answer comes up on various Porsche forums🤷 A photo of where it is located would be very much appreciated Some research has suggested in the boot on the right hand front chassis rail? Is the right hand front referring to the drivers side or passenger side?

luzzo Posted 29January, 2022 Report Share Posted 29January, 2022 32 minutes ago, 911virgin said: the build plate. Hey @911virgin, Build plate is located on RHS of frunk. That is based on sitting in the car. Ie. Drivers side. So, when standing at front of car looking back into frunk, it would be on your left. However to see it, you will need to pull back frunk carpet liner. Remove left corner plastic retaining clip and pull back carpet to reveal. It is a metal plate riveted to the body (as opposed to some newer cars having a sticker). Hth. tomo and Raven

TwoHeadsTas Posted 30January, 2022 Report Share Posted 30January, 2022 They stopped the under bonnet build sticker with 986/996 IIRC. There should also be a copy in the front of your service book from memory.
