proob Posted 3March, 2022 Report Share Posted 3March, 2022 Where in Melbourne can I get a leaking shock absorber repaired? I don't do track days. What's the best replacement shocks for a 911 997?
tomo Posted 4March, 2022 Report Share Posted 4March, 2022 They reckon if the shocker has done 35000 miles, You should not repair but replace, Bilstien or Koni are popular choices

Potentially 18. I’d check w Porsche or aftermarket re service it or replace it.
proob Posted 5March, 2022 Author Report Share Posted 5March, 2022 Yep, it has PASM. Seems other than direct through Porsche, aftermarket is hard to come by?
proob Posted 5March, 2022 Author Report Share Posted 5March, 2022 Looked up Koni website. Couldn't find 911 997 listed (stopped at 911 996!). Can anyone shed any light on the reason?
tomo Posted 5March, 2022 Report Share Posted 5March, 2022 There's a couple of young Guys in the UK "Freinds green Porsche" That do U Tube clips about cars they repair in their work shop, One of the clips covers your question about what to do with a failed PSAM / Suspension in a 997. Give them a google and your questions might be answered.
