Removing paint off plexiglass

Skidmarks

Hi all.

I have a pair of headlight covers/lenses for my 2004 GT3 RSR that are the original yellow tint. The tint is right through and not a surface application

The RSR’s didn’t have a single unit but rather a sealed beam with a cover.

Issue I have is that they have been painted.

Any suggestions on how to remove the paint without damaging the plexiglass?  I’m told they’re quite rare so want to be sure not to damage them.

Thanks

See picture of the ones on it for context

Try contacting a soda blasting or the dry ice blasting specialist and ask to be sure, but I think it would remove the paint and save the original finish underneath  ,,,, avoid any solvents or caustic paint strippers as this would no doubt  damage the clear finish in the process of removing the paint and cause the plexiglass to go cloudy ..

Yep Dry ice should do the job with out damage, Where soda blasting can be abrasive.
