rak54 Posted 2April, 2022 Report Share Posted 2April, 2022 Time has come to move my beautiful 1971 2.2 911T on. Unfortunately I am not able to drive it as much anymore and I need garage space. So it is time for somebody else to enjoy this car. This 1971 911T is an original RHD number matching car. It has a very extensive history file which will be supplied with the car. It has gone through a nuts and bolts re-build in 2014/2015. Again a comprehensive file with photos of this re-build is available and will be delivered with the car. The car is built as a tribute to the Steve McQueen Porsche featured in the opening scene of the movie Le Mans. It is in a beautiful Slate Grey colour. It has original deep hearts Fuchs wheels. Car comes with an array of spares, incl the back seats if you want to revert it back, as well as a set of spare reproduction Fuchs wheels.. The car was originally delivered with a sportomatic, but this has been replaced by a 901 5-speed gearbox. I have spend the past years bringing this car to top mechanical condition. The motor has been out several times, to fix the timing chain tensioners and several leaks. The 40mm Weber Carbys have been cleaned and tuned and the MSD ignition has been reverted back to an original CDI setup. 3 years ago the gearbox has been completely rebuild. All work done by renowned Porsche specialists and documented with invoices and photos. As a result the car runs like a dream.
