SM911 Posted 18April, 2022 Report Share Posted 18April, 2022 Yeah you probably thought this ad would be for another 911. It's not. What'll $80K buy you in the 911 world these days? Probably a converted US coupe that's copped a flogging, or a rusted out UK targa. Rubbish really. For the same kind of money, you can also buy an 87 928S4 in dark blue, 96,000km, full books, and pulls like a 315hp 80s GT car should (pretty fast). The car has impeccable books and a history file dating back to the late 90s. Everything works on the car, and the only reason it's being sold is that I've bought a 928GT in the same colour. Nobody needs two dark blue 928s. 928S4s drive beautifully - there's a reason why everyone says that S4s are the preferred 928 variant. They're also a ton of fun to drive, and in a totally different way to a 911. I've had plenty of air cooled 911s, and a well sorted 928 makes make a great book end to the growing Porsche collection. So if you've ever wondered about owning a 928, give me shout. Advertised on carsales at $82,000 but for PFA members, let's make it $77k... https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1987-porsche-928-s4-auto/SSE-AD-12542086/?Cr=2 Fishcop, Mike D'Silva, MARTY and 14 others
