911 Servicing Sunshine Coast

Recommended Posts

Hi there new to the forum and relativley new to the sunshine coast and am wanting a good garage for servicing that is local as would prefer not travelling to Brisbane.

Ideally a porsche trained mechanic would be good

also want recommendations for car painters and an upholsterer for small repairs

thanks Paul

Paul, the topic on Sunshine Coast servicing has come up before and I don't think there has been any successful answer.

For paintwork, you could try talking to McCullochs bodyworks in Yandina.  They do a lot of the local BMW/Mercedes repair work and have a good reputation.   I have had my car in their for an insurance job and was happy with the results.  A bit out of the way but not difficult to get to.

No idea on upholstery repairs though.

Hi. I am on the Sunshine Coast, Yandina Creek. There is an excellent motor trimmer/upholsterer in Yandina, Blakemores. He now works from workshops at the back of his home and performs interior restoration and repair work on all the best cars on the coast. He just repaired and recovered my drivers seat on my 1970 911Targa and did a great job. Reasonably priced too. While I am on here, I seen an early red 911 coupe coming from the Coolum roundabout heading towards Yandina about a month ago. Would anyone know who that was?? Would be great to meet up and talk early 911's!!

Hi Paul,

A member of the forum has asked me to post this topic as he had trouble finding us and thought it an idea to post on here.

We're a European Vehicle Specialist workshop located in Kunda Park, Sunshine Coast.  The owner of the business Carl Miller is Porsche trained (in the UK) and has all the latest computerized diagnostic equipment to service, repair and maintain your Porsche.

We have great suppliers across Australia and in the UK and currently help our customers to maintain their new and vintage Porsche vehicles.  These include a beautiful 2004 Porsche Boxster 986, a 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S V8 Twin Turbo, a 2003 Porsche Cayenne V8 and a lovely vintage 1988 Porsche 928 S4 V8 to name a few.

If you're keen to find out more, our website is www.svsautocare.com.au.

Feel free to call us for a chat.

Cheers

IMHO - Travel to Brisbane, see T&D. Everyone i've ever spoken to at the side of the road with a Porsche in Brisbane suggests them.

Any update on this or is T&D still the place to go ,

anyone used

Just bough a 911 3.2 Carrera and new to the area

Any advice or recommendations for getting a service or any mechanical work done in the Brisbane /Sunshine coast areas.

Sometimes the smaller guys are better ?

Thanks

Paul

Saozzi, I'd go and see SVS and see what they are like. I've driven past the workshop a couple of times.

Have you got the car yet? I saw a red be-winged 911 driving towards Buderim on the he highway exit about 5pm last night. Had qld plates though.

I've used Steffan @ Blitz in Kunda Park for a couple of jobs when I had my Boxster a couple of years ago. He replaced my drive shaft boots and installed PSS9 coilovers without any problems, but what his experience is with air cooled cars IDK.......

The others around here are questionable.
