JWM Posted 8August Report Share Posted 8August Unless I have missed it, don't think we really have a "Market Watch" type thread for Spyder's? I reckon they deserve one so starting it up... Saw this pass in today ... usual theme at the moment, bidding stopped a long way from asking prices on Carsales, although this is a PDK with sofas's and relatively "high" km's for these at 23,308 Km... https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2021-porsche-718-spyder-3 tomo
sjm Posted 8August Report Share Posted 8August Is that the same one on CS asking $238.888. They both have the same weird phone holder on the air vent! 2021 Porsche 718 Spyder 982 Auto MY21 (carsales.com.au) tomo
JWM Posted 8August Author Report Share Posted 8August Yeah I think you’re right, it is. sjm
sleazius Posted 8August Report Share Posted 8August Not exactly the desired spec, but that’s certainly a big haircut to the last one that sold on there (the one I bought). Good indication of where most people’s appetite for debt is currently at. Just need a similar correction in the Speedster market and I’m golden 😂 JWM and sjm 1
JWM Posted 8August Author Report Share Posted 8August Just went back and looked it up - yours was the shark blue, manual and v low k’s right? Definitely a much more desirable proposition, and you still played less than everything on Carsales today many months later! 😅 btw I heard of a “new” yellow one coming up for sale if you’re interested 😁 Yeatesy
sleazius Posted 9August Report Share Posted 9August Yeah - I’m digging the blue and I didn’t think I’d find a high spec one with sofas so I won’t be selling (at least for the moment). I’m not actually a huge fan of racing yellow tbh, I much prefer the less fluro yellows. Haven’t seen a Spyder in racing yellow though so I’ll hold judgement. Aclmin Posted 12August Report Share Posted 12August 987.2 Spyder added - White PDK Sofa PCCB extended cocoa leather, PSE advertised $124,500 private owner in Adelaide. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2010-porsche-boxster-spyder-987-auto-my11/SSE-AD-17715258/ JWM, Julian1 and Spets87
Miffy Posted 12August Report Share Posted 12August Geez, PCCB back then were an extra $18,990.00… Not sure the electronic PCM logbook at $1,450.00 was good value either. cafe_racer

I saw $161k but that was with half an hour to go, I jumped back on to check but already missed the end….

sleazius Posted 16August Report Share Posted 16August Like we've seen with everything else it doesn't matter what the market says if people don't have to sell. The ones that come up on CC probably have the highest chance of being sold somewhere nearer to what people want to pay. The rest will just languish on carsales until the economy picks back up. sleazius Posted 20August Report Share Posted 20August It is amazing to me how little interest rates had to rise in order to slam the brakes on discretionary purchases. P-Kay and Yeatesy

reedminor Posted 20August Report Share Posted 20August am enjoying this thread - and have been watching these with interest, ever since I was offered ( a stupidly passed on) a 987 Spyder. Looks like there is still a lot to play out with these, and it only takes an actual sale or two to reset / shift the market.
