Minke Posted 1September Report Share Posted 1September Hi, Wasn't sure whre to put this post but since I've a 996 this sub forum, somewhat, feels like home. the 996 new to me and what I've noticed is that the three independants that I've spoken to / car has been to seem to use left of field engine oil. Gulf ULE (Pit Exchange, BWA), Anglomoil (PR Tech). Annoyingly you cannot get either of these oils in a 1L container to have spare as a top up (my OCD doesn't like mixing drinks...) I wonder why they're doing this and curious what your independant specialist are using.
WB997.2GTS Posted 1September Report Share Posted 1September They do it because its the best oil deal they can get, some suppliers give them the storage tanks, others a lower cost per ltr. Next time you are at your favourite Indi, take your own container and ask them to fill it. sjm, 9er and Harsh
