A lot of Simmons wheels made there way to Canada and US.  Come up every now and then on Pelican

Strange how it has different number plates front to back  ......!!

In a lot of US states you dont have to run a front 'license' plate.  Many more are supposed to but don't bother. I got pulled over in CA for no plate in the front of my camaro, but was let off with a warning. Likely the front plate was put there by dealer or owner for the "euro" look.  A friend of mine had a big old Ford with a painting of a surfer on a wave for the front plate.

Could run a big cooler, unrestricted by a number plate ala RSR, 934.  Wonder if it will happen here, me thinks not

You do live in Australia, nanny state capital of the world, right?

Front plates = detection = tolls and fines.

If anything i'd be on the lookout for side or roof plates making an appearance here

Didn't see the ad saying anything about a conversion to LHD, and wondered 'cause the wipers are parked on the right.

You got me there.  I doubt very much it would be a converted UK car.  But I have no answer on why they are like that.

Wiper swap is an easy job .  It gets them out of the way.  Common trick for old school racers in low-set fixed seats.  And if you only drive in good weather it doesn't matter that the sweep is on the wrong side.
