Decent price if you're after a real longhood and a 73, though being a converted leper (apparently), it scares people off

Im confused by it .. The R word comes up as does some misfitting things , yes like but scared, If its getting the 3.8 gotta be strong R and power dont mix

Copper bronze heros, Viper Green Adelaide Targas ,  Oles rare  special , The Satchi sucked in turbo more , my god so many of these got dredged up.   It like lint and those damn rogue tissues left in a pocket in the great porsche washing machine.

Onwards to new and varied discussions , todays top picks perhaps

Hows about a bit of Minerva  http://honeyiboughttheporsche.com/

Also , I know this has been tyre kicked .quite like it..  but whats really wrong with it or right with it .. 1973 must give it some merit.  Evidently perceptions of great paint and the dreaded Rust word  vary..

And to promote todays juicy discussion , you would have to consider this Turbo, MFI , Carrera , Supersport

Cos god knows the value of the mods over a standard one , must present value ;)

Shit I just noticed 2.7 also might be an RS

Lastly the question is beyond those amazing dash and stalk photos ... To wing or not to wing it ??  One for the water coolers..

Re 996tt de wing it and de gt2 it and put turbo rims back on it..  What's with the pics and full disclosure.  E.g. Porsche hood badge.  My eyes or heaps of swirl marks and scratches.  Close ups of the low fuel warning light masking the 98000 on the clock.   Does that air filter look clean eg$ 100 for a new  for the photo shoot.   Would you do a  100k service before selling?

Reckon it's a quick car but and got the go to match the show.  E.g. stock clutch not up to handling the tune. 500hp plus me thinks.

1982 LHD 930 turbo ex race car sounds good if the engine & box are redone as stated  https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/austins-ferry/cars-vans-utes/porsche-1982-3-3-930-turbo-coupe/1182434328 if you can get it at the right price... just drive it after a tidy up

Looks interesting. As you say, a little bit of a tidy up and you're away.

Some interesting cars coming up lately.

Was it the damaged compliance plate?

Pretty much.....that and the shunt with the kangaroo are going to be issues if, or rather when, I decide to move it on down the track.

Have to say though that the seller seemed to be quite a nice guy who was very forthcoming about the car’s history.

Curious to hear what people think is the 'right price' for a midyear hot rod like this.

Hard to judge but my thoughts are being a left hooker holds it back for most, I'd say if it was $79 firm and everything with the car is good  it'd be gone

Surely you can get a compliance plate re-issued?

You could *probably* build it for that kind of money - no documented extensive engine work, just cosmetic and some suspension mainly.

I think it looks fun and someone who wants to take it further should dive right in.

Crazy though I remember talking to a guy who bought in a white mid year LHD jap import for $25k and wasn't sure what to do with it.  OK so it was 5 years ago but still.

That is how I'd have my 6 RS! The red is cool, but blue is my colour.... not that I can afford it, but what were they asking? its now listed as removed?

Its a tough call which is better a lefty or a converted car now RHD ... im still struggling with hotrods without the rod bit or is that the hot bit.

Looks mighty fine  , but wheres the LSD , worked motor and running gear.  Does an Iroc bar , seats , stickers and a roll cage define the HOTROD now?

LHD 65-75...worked car RHD 80-95... proper setup cars rugged 95-125 converted or not ....150k peaches , worked ,  orig rhd ..sizzling hot on all front . coolness , driveability , sound , finish and engineering prowess

All a bit of a funny story really when most would buy a dog to start our hotrod build or dirty import ...

I think that guy made it into a Pink RWB? Maybe not the same guy.
