Diamond911 Posted 24August, 2018 Report Share Posted 24August, 2018 I'm thinking of sending both my cars to NZ and back as it looks like it adds a fair bit of value. https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-930-1980/SSE-AD-5624616/?gts=SSE-AD-5624616&gtssaleid=SSE-AD-5624616&rankingType=Spotlight micknine01, Dave997S, GUT and 2 others

Taffy Posted 24August, 2018 Report Share Posted 24August, 2018 Why cut up a 996 top? Surely a zeintop would be better and cheaper in the long run if you want it to be different. I looked with interest but no front end... you could have some fun no interior full strip down look but the body panels would make it damn expensive. And cut out panels... That'd be the only way he'd get $3800 for it.

Dave997S Posted 27August, 2018 Report Share Posted 27August, 2018 It’s back... Last time I saw this it was on Car Sales but it dropped off last month. Did anyone have a look at this? TwoHeadsTas Posted 27August, 2018 Report Share Posted 27August, 2018 OK, how well regarded is Nick Theodossi Prestige Cars as a fair and (reasonably) honest seller of Porsches? Not wanting to create any sh**storm, perhaps PMs may be best... Looking at a car < $100k, I know they have some high value cars there. TwoHeadsTas Posted 28August, 2018 Report Share Posted 28August, 2018 Just as an FYI, 2 cars sold at Manheims today - write offs 2001 986 2.7 in Tas, rear bumper damage and apparently front suspension (not allowed to view car!!!) 170,000kms sold for $10k - someone must have really wanted this, and 2009 987 in Vic, no apparent exterior damage, sold for $20k, all + buyers premium. Depending on what was wrong, the 987 appeared to be a good buy for someone - anyone here???
