They sold it once when they hit financial problems and bought it back again.  I don’t see the bowdens car coming up for sale for a very very long time.  In fact until it’s a very old car and nobody remembers who Moffat was or what a falcon was and why anyone would race one.

As an aside - the writing in that article is atrocious, full of errors and repetitions.  Worse than the auto-ad writing bots on carsales.

I can't see David Bowden ever parting with the Moffat P4. It holds a very special place in the family.... Dan, Chris and the rest of the brood used to get dropped off to school in that car..... Special indeed!

That’s everyone wailing about using a turbo wing on a non turbo car.  The ‘wail tail’

Its seems to be a crime here .. yet in the UK a M491 im pretty sure is was an option that you can order..

M491 . With a nice tune .. cheap ownership proposition ..with a lot of look and lets face it these cars are bulletproof.

On another subject and tangent

Im still on the convert the woman from the mini campaign….  but its gotta be white or silver Im told

This looks like a great car .. whats the critique from the mid engine crew ?

It's over priced, auto's fetch much lower prices than manuals.  There was a black one in WA for $45k with similar kilometres on it that sat on Carsales for over a year, it disappeared a couple of months ago.

In the UK they called them a 'super sport' for whatever reason.   Usual nutty UK market vocabulary.

You could order a tea tray or carrera tail on any 911 - lots of people did.  For a while you had to have a tail.  Then they became passe.

I still prefer tail and will to my dying day.

.

In your infinite wisdom what did Porsche call this model for all other markets, and what's wrong with 'Super Sport' & why is it "nutty UK market vocabulary"?

Some facts would be nice.

996 Turbo S, I think not, Turbo S where only built MY2005 and had Carbon Ceramic brakes and X50 package.

NQR or not into the detail with the ad.  Perhaps a tad disappointing ,  eg extra tweaking in terms of gt2 spoiler, turbo upgrades, exhaust that when combined yields a net sum gain of a  0 to 100km/hr time of zero.  I.e  no better or worse off than a stock tipper in the 5 digit price  range.  Could it be that some of those goodies just work soooo much better with a tweaked tune file than the stock factory ECU file.

Maybe because this option made them slower than the standard Carrera and Super Sport should actually been called Slightly Slower??

Yes, I agree .... something about the colour and sporto cause I'm getting lazy ... although it was advertised by the Healey Factory https://healeyfactory.com.au/product/1976-porsche-911-2/ up until a month or two ago, for something like $95K and sat for at least a year at that rate .... not sure who has it now ....

Definately a clean car that looks like its had money put into it

I would still by old mates white maybe silver 996 GT3 with the wonky badges .. with or without history if I were buying a 100k car

Parked at Healey Factory yesterday with sign saying on hold on it. I believe 85k for around a year? Must have spent a bit to raise the price, or the rewrite of the ad wasn’t cheap!
