Well priced - won't last long!  What's replacing it?

Not 100% sure yet ... the wife wants something “a bit more modern” than this old thing .. not sure if I’m actually parting with the right thing ... 🤔

Very nice car @Dreamr & those original 15 inch Fuchs wheels are worth plenty of $$ same wheels as Carrera 2.7mfi & Carrera 3.0

Thanks James ... some of the procedes will be going towards the 924T 😃.

I had a closer look athe the rims the other day and there are hints of the Bamboo paint underneath the black paint on the petals ... so it seems they may have been colour coded when new ...

I hope in light of phone call, no text, you took cash, no EFT... continuity is important every step of the way.

congrats!

I still can't believe you have actually done the deal. I remember like it was yesterday the first time i saw that car and you saying how it was your dream car way back in 2013. We've been friends ever since and had many conversations over the last few months about you moving it on but not just to anyone. Whomever it is must have passed the strict test you had in place to cull prospective buyers. If you like i can help you find another car starting right now, you know, like you have been helping me try and find another one for the past few months. Do you think it would be better if i sent them straight to Jodie:D

Congrats mate. As per our call a couple of months ago, I was very interested to see what a colour change would do to saleability. You just demonstrated right car, well priced, is always going to sell.
where did the seller come from, here, gumtree or fb?

On the subject of buying things, once I finally do and manage to get my moniker changed, I'm going to need to join a club where I can register the car on club plates. I live in Bondi Beach, NSW so got any suggestions for clubs in the area with an authorised person who can sign an historic vehicle declaration?  Porsche Club NSW is an obvious one but I'd be pleased to be with a club that just enjoys the cars.

Hey Steve,

The buyer came from Carsales ... was doing his twice daily check in the afternoon and there it was ..

The colour change didn't come into play for him ... wasn't a factor or issue at all.

All the manual 997s on carsales below $100k have disappeared, either sold or withdrawn. Autos are moving into the $60's.

The last one >$100k was the 2005  Atlas Grey one in Sydney that was originally at $73k then jumped to $79.9k and then sold. It had 150,000 on the clock.

What are you ‘considering’? Air cooled Coupe, Targa, longhood, sc or water cooled?

There are a few social car clubs that support historic that don’t require you to also pay member fees. I know central coast cars and coffee do. @Dreamr I think also has a contact.

Hi @Tips - have put a deposit on an ac wide body coupe so hoping it passes the PPI and gets shipped to NSW over the next few weeks. Finally! As I’m going to run it club plates, the club needs to be able to sign the declaration - I have no idea how common that is for clubs. The Eastern Classic Car Club, for example, would suit for location but they can’t do the declaration. Any suggestions happily received. Ultimately PCNSW can do it I guess.
