The word hipster was first used back in the 1940s. It was used to describe a particular subculture that had evolved in America during which and directly linked to the popularity of Jazz music during the 1940s. There are different opinions on how the word actually came about, but the most common one is that the word hipster came from the word “hip” meaning “in the know” and was commonly used as an adjective to describe enthusiasts of the jazz music scene. The English suffix “ster” was added and the term “hipster” was born, being defined as “characters who like hot jazz”.

I'd say it's worth every cent - perhaps even more...........its a US import retained as LHD with lots of original stuff.    Perfect for a person with lots of surplus cash to place into a warehouse and wait for the price to increase.   They aren't making them anymore, and I came across a green 72 T for sale recently at the asking price of $320,000.

I wonder how much for a Tangerine original 72 T mfi ?

Is that 'factory tangerine' or the 'coastal' variety Chris?

Dodgey LHD cars and their massive bumperettes ;)

Factory....of course.   And no massive bumpers on mine.  The design is from an era when pedestrians, passengers and drivers came second to beautiful design.Mine even has USA air in the tyres.   That's got to command a premium ?   And no ugly aerial hole in the RH front fender (mines in the left).

Taking offers of $275,000 for mine.

Nearly bought a hotted Dino before the 911 , but concerned at the originality aspect down the track

E types are like bumholes around these parts

Bond bugs are for...well...people who like Bond bugs

The Merak has some neat engineering and it's always been on my radar , crazy as that may sound. The Bora would be nice too!
