murf Posted 26September, 2013 Report Share Posted 26September, 2013 My first love is a 65-66 mustang fastback - my porsche comes in second. Yes I said it. But after never loving modern cars I have finally found a new love. A mix of all my favourite 60's US muscle - modernized. http://equus-automotive.com/

murf Posted 26September, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 26September, 2013 TK - I just don't rate singers cars for some reason. For me you cant mess with a classic porsche. If you want a modern porsche buy one. The Boss is a pure mix / mash up (rip off) of some of the best 60's muscle cars. The best bits of those cars. I just can't stop looking. Modern car based on vintage stylings - down to the trims / lights.
tk111 Posted 26September, 2013 Report Share Posted 26September, 2013 Interesting, I also see the appeal in the equus love the styling. I apply the same reasoning to the singer as you do to the equus. Very nice.

wasserkuhl Posted 26September, 2013 Report Share Posted 26September, 2013 OK Murf. First you say you love a Horse more than your Porsche. THEN, you say you dont rate Singers. AND theres a link to a website , about a car that is named after a fish. Just to make sure, you know, look at this a little longer....
SteamWolf Posted 26September, 2013 Report Share Posted 26September, 2013 The 80's 930 in Guards Red was my first ever car I desired, then it was the GTR-XU1 also in red.
murf Posted 27September, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 I see it Wasser - but it reminds me of people with 70's porsches butchering them to make them look like an 80's model. I just don't dig the flared guards. The porsche shape is already perfect. Porsche have never chased there tails in designing a classic modern car. Now the Americans just don't get it. They have butchered the 60's automotive legacy. They have never made a car as modern and beautiful as there 60's vehicles. This is the best modern car with classic lines I've seen. Fuck if Ford can't see they had the shape right now they deserve to be gone. I hate modern cars. This is the only car I've seen and loved. Equus have done what Ford, Chev and Chrysler haven't been able to do in 20 yrs. Ps: I still love my old porsche.

NiX Posted 27September, 2013 Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 Mine was a red & black SLR 5000. When I was a kid the guy down the road had one, in mint condition featured in Street Machine mag a few times.

I too hate update, back-date side-date. I like em as they left the Factory, to look at I mean, underneath can hide sensible enhancement. But yes, The yanks have really lost what they were once best at(although their only competition at the time was bombed to buggery) So now they just rob the past , poorly. Thats why we sell them commodores.
TrevMcRev Posted 28September, 2013 Report Share Posted 28September, 2013 The interior in that is surperb. Only thing I feel they didn't get right is the front end treatment, looks a little odd to me.

LeeM Posted 29September, 2013 Report Share Posted 29September, 2013 I didnt think a pre 80's 911 could be topped in my opinion, yet Singer has managed it. Just magnificent
