Tit Posted 26December, 2013 Report Share Posted 26December, 2013 By now you've heard me bleating about my Techart Replica wing. So - do any of you know of any 964 spoilers and all the associated components hiding in garages around the country? I tend to think that buying the whole engine cover with the motor, gears, spoiler etc attached might be a safer way to acquire the parts, but might be willing to 'build' a set... Wreckers, suppliers, stuff covered in dust?? Bonus points for finding GP White parts!!

Tit Posted 1January, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 1January, 2014 Not really. I think the hood itself might be the same size, but that's about it.
Guest hepkat63 Posted 2January, 2014 Report Share Posted 2January, 2014 Hey Tit, I was getting some other stuff and I asked this guy http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e12052.m43.l1123/7?euid=3f303d4b0b664aa29548a8b389d56dfe&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com.au%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D111245105898%26ssPageName%3DADME%3AX%3AeRTM%3AAU%3A1123 and he has a boot lid for your model - he wants $600 for it. I'm not sure if that is a lot or not?
Peter M Posted 2January, 2014 Report Share Posted 2January, 2014 You will find the '86 uses a different part number lid to a 964. I don't know what the difference is or how significant it is but notice they only make new parts when they absolutely need to.Wouldn't it make more sense to buy the complete unit with working spoiler with all the mechanics rather than just a lidSorry if I've missed something! I'm not sure if that is a lot or not? Not sure about that specific car, but that vendor might have something... You will find the '86 uses a different part number lid to a 964.
