Looking at a '69. Can anyone decode these numbers please?

So, if this car was "matching numbers" would the consecutive engine number have to be the same as the serial number?

 

 

No, they don't match up that way.  Porsche Australia can tell you what the correct engine number would have been for that chassis.

Yes, that's the one.  If any of you have photos of the car before I bought it, I'd love to see them. ( akvette @ homail . com )

 

Here's an interior shot taken by Mark.  The car came with its original seats as well but I like the BF Torino seats, so I'll leave them in.  I like the original steering wheel but I have a vintage 370mm Prototipo on its way, I think it should go well with the sports seats.

Thank for the kind words, I've been driving the hell out of the car since buying it.

The existing motor was rebuilt around 2 years ago by Spencer Harrison.

Murf, I'm going to keep the original seats.  I may even make a base for them and set them up in the garage.
