DJM Posted 18January, 2014 Report Share Posted 18January, 2014 Oh yeah:http://bringatrailer.com/2014/01/17/wide-body-1981-ruf-ctr/ Or if you'd prefer a more original, narrow body in classic yellow, try this:http://bringatrailer.com/2012/01/16/the-real-deal-1989-ruf-porsche-ctr-yellowbird/ Would be a handful up Lake Mountain on an SMT! Flatout Posted 20January, 2014 Report Share Posted 20January, 2014 I expected with a website name of 'bringatrailer' they would be rough (no pun intended) cars that needed work and couldn't be driven away. RUF would have to be my ultimate car though.
Kerry Posted 20January, 2014 Report Share Posted 20January, 2014 I've never driven one for real, but having driven the Ring a million times on the PS3/GT5 and many times in a CTR, I can report that a. They are absolutely unforgiving pig-dogs to drive, and b. Stephan Rozzer in his short sleeved collared t-shirt, white socks and loafers is a frickin' LEGEND as he slides around the track in an original yellabird!!! Note that even when traveling in a straight line, he is still working the wheel like he's doing motokhana! ...maybe the digital isn't the best way to make an assessment of such an iconic car?! cyberpunky Posted 21January, 2014 Report Share Posted 21January, 2014 it lacks the added benefit of the seat mounted G meter Sometimes real is the only way to judge

Flatout Posted 29January, 2014 Report Share Posted 29January, 2014 Not usually, no. Although I didn't mind the 'rough' pun. What did you think of that? It was at least a little bit funny... the trailer one not so much I must admit.
Cal Posted 30January, 2014 Report Share Posted 30January, 2014 I just thought most people who like Porsche's would follow their site. They post a lot of coll stuff for sale. You can get a daily email from them if you like.
Flatout Posted 30January, 2014 Report Share Posted 30January, 2014 Yeah, I've seen it before ref from another site. Think it was for a Ruf too, as pretty much anytime I see a reference to Ruf I'll read it! Still have a magazine at home that tested the 993 Ruf when that came out, silver with green interior as only the Germans would do! Would still own it in a heartbeat though.
