Aaron Posted 30January, 2014 Report Share Posted 30January, 2014 I've recently acquired a new parking spot for my 996 Turbo, and it's a very tight fit (walls on either side) that I need to reverse into. Being paranoid I'd like to get some parking sensors, since they didn't come factory optioned. I've heard it's worth getting a camera these days is worthwhile as well, so would also like to get that. Ideally want something that's decent, and that doesn't need modification to the car. Any ideas? Looking forward to getting back on the road after a lengthy suspension in a few weeks! P-Kay Posted 31January, 2014 Report Share Posted 31January, 2014 G'day Aaron, I ended up going the reverse camera option and purchased a camera that is incorprorated with the licence plate lights. I ended up buying one for a Skoda on eBay as it was the same dimensions. The only modification to the camera/light was the mounting holes. I just used araldyte to fill in the existing holes before drilling the new. To view what is behind, I update my stereo head unit to an after market touch screen. Good luck
pocketscience Posted 31January, 2014 Report Share Posted 31January, 2014 Cheap, sensor solution - no holes in bumper required. I've bought one and will be hooking it up Saturday hopefully. See recent discussion Cheers,
