What about up the new freeway get off at Branxton and head out Elderslie road and on to Gresford then on to Dungog for coffee or whatever then home via Wollarobba, Martins Creek, Butterwick, Hinton, Morpeth and home, done by lunch.

 

Some nice roads couple of rough patches but it's country.

Hey guys, would love to join you but heading off for work to Moree for the week & leave on Sunday. Unfortunately not in my car but the missus Hyundai IX35. Have a great drive & hope to join you on the next drive. God knows I what to get out & go for a real drive. Enjoy all.

Weather Forecast seems pretty much the same as today:

Hunter area

Cloudy. Isolated showers near the coast, extending throughout from the late morning. Winds south to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h tending south to southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h in the late morning and early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 15 with daytime temperatures reaching between 19 and 23.

Ben,

Perfect weather to the point I switched on the AC for a spell after Dungog!

But if you prefer your pillow to spending time with your mates and a killer set of 3rd gear curves on Bingleburra Road, that's OK, I'm sure there will be other opportunities... ;-)
