Russ Posted 27May, 2014 Report Share Posted 27May, 2014 I think it's time for another SMT. There's a few people I haven't caught up with in a while, and a few new cars to see (I'm looking at you Steve in your Targa!) Thinking about the usual run that we've done lots of times before with Coffee/Lunch at the top but with a new start point Anyone in a Porsche welcome I think I'll be there about 7:15am for breakfast - It's a nice bakery that normally has heaps of parking space out the front around that time. Meet point is Gerbinos 166 Ashgrove Ave, Ashgrove departing at 7:45am http://goo.gl/maps/0UcLI hopefully I'm not flying solo again! PS. fixed the date now too, not occurring in the past! PPS. fixed it again! this time i blame autocorrect lol
SteveT Posted 27May, 2014 Report Share Posted 27May, 2014 Haha. Sorry Russ I will be in sunny? Melbourne for the weekend for my older brother's 60th. Could do dinner on Wednesday somewhere this week if that's an option for Targa viewing? And hearing. It sounds really great

FlatSix Posted 28May, 2014 Report Share Posted 28May, 2014 doesn't drive in a straight line? so pulling one way or the other? is something bent or just alignment? Think it's bad alignment plus something in the steering, harder to turn the wheel right than left.
Caledonian Posted 29May, 2014 Report Share Posted 29May, 2014 Think it's bad alignment plus something in the steering, harder to turn the wheel right than left. What work did they actually do to the car?
FlatSix Posted 29May, 2014 Report Share Posted 29May, 2014 Well at first they told me the steering bearing was screwed, then miraculously they had it fixed. Now they say it's because the rear wheels are bent. wtf?? The bill they gave me showed steering shaft lube and a wheel alignment.
Russ Posted 29May, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 29May, 2014 I still think its cause they ballsed up the camber/castor/track/toe in when they reinstalled the rebuilt rack

Well thats as ironic as you can get, a bill for stuffing up your car with the words "Shaft" and "Lube" in it
