Skunk Works 964 "RS-4" project

Unbelievable JV, congratulations.

Looks spectacular, even the wheels which I have not been too sure about from the beginning.

Incredible colour, build spec, quality and execution.

Can only imagine the joy of driving and owning such a car.

Excellent to see such a comprehensive 964 build!

That's baloney. I've driven a few and they are nice. When was the last time you read of a 4wd failure?

I havent read on any forums of a contemporary one in the last two years.

Great looking car. What do you think of the 4 wheel drive in the 964? I've been told to avoid them but was looking for some actual 964 C4 owners opinions please.

Good comparison here http://www.performance2and4.co.uk/964di_1_n.htm

Having driven it it's hard to even tell it's 4WD. There is a weight penalty over the C2 but I reckon it is a more usable car and it'll come into its own in the wet. The 959-derived system was designed to be "the safest porsche ever" so standard there is a little understeer but without the widow maker lift off oversteer. The former can be cured simply by using a C2 rear sway bar.

Just dropped the car at AH to have its 1st service and a few things tinkered with. While I was there Sergio informed me that Speedhunters want to do a feature article :D

Had a good poke around the garage in particular the amazing blue RSR and white/green GT3, the latter should be finished next week.

What a line up!
