TrevMcRev Posted 14June, 2014 Report Share Posted 14June, 2014 I figured it might be worth it's own thread to share interesting Porsche finds on the international market. I'm sure there will be an interesting mix of rare, unusual cars, cars with prices that seem ridiculously good...and prices that are just plain ridiculous! Let's start with the Sultan Of Brunei's 964 3.6 Turbo X88. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/911-964/ex-sultan-of-brunei-964-3-6-turbo-x88-supplied-in-superb-order/2327006?isexperiment=true

DJM Posted 16June, 2014 Report Share Posted 16June, 2014 Wow that's lovely. 3.8 on ITBs would be nice. I dreamed about that if my 964 engine went bang. But 95k for a replica plus shipping....that's gt3 money. Would probably cost every bit of that to build with local C2s at 60k plus.

For sale in South Africa for AUD95k. 1989 so can be imported. Looks incredible 1989 rule implies that a vehicle must be built before 01.01.89 , which in practise rubs out any chance of a 964 being imported under that rule
Russ Posted 18June, 2014 Report Share Posted 18June, 2014 the Museum Of Modern Art is doing steering wheels now? and I laughed when he said 'invested' too, I wonder where it all went? those body modifications are hideous
ByronBayChris Posted 18June, 2014 Report Share Posted 18June, 2014 Loved this colour.....until I looked inside. WTF. Who ordered blue and red.. Coastr Posted 19June, 2014 Report Share Posted 19June, 2014 Took these on a recent visit to San Francisco Sports Cars This belongs to.... Here is the link if you have a spare $260k http://sanfranciscosportscars.com/2011-porsche-gt2-rs/ 1973 1/2...very nicely presented Very premium price : $187k http://sanfranciscosportscars.com/1973-porsche-911t-silver/ The entire showroom: Sorry for the blurry pic. They had a 997 Targa (silver one visible at the back), plus a 997 GT2 and a couple of other late model desirables. The Jag F-Type left me underwhelmed - I'm sure it's an awesome car, it just looks like generic modern sportscar. Maybe that's what happens when you park it between a lime green Murcielago and a bright orange Gallardo, though. Worth a 5 minute peruse along the stock list : http://sanfranciscosportscars.com/cars-for-sale.html
Coastr Posted 19June, 2014 Report Share Posted 19June, 2014 http://www.ebay.com/itm/181440057903 $100000 invested Frankly I'm disappointed it doesn't have gullwing doors and neons. The job is only half done IMO.
sleazius Posted 19June, 2014 Report Share Posted 19June, 2014 i know the red isnt correct, but i really really like the look of that car! Me too - as a rule I don't normally like red interiors, but that thing is hot!
