D-banger Posted 26June, 2014 Report Share Posted 26June, 2014 Last of the single turbo cars, except for the 3.6 964. What is a similar 3.3 964 Aussie delivered one worth? Uncle?

michel Posted 26June, 2014 Report Share Posted 26June, 2014 anything post 1/1/89 is not allowed unless you are returning from O/S or its rally race purpose - you got a mate who wants to bring one home for you? I also think they changed the personal import from 1 yearly, to 1 every three years? Can a car of this age be imported to aus?
Uncle Posted 26June, 2014 Report Share Posted 26June, 2014 I'd be all over that if you could do it but as others have said it's not going to happen unless personal import.
tazzieman Posted 26June, 2014 Report Share Posted 26June, 2014 Its a nice car, albeit "not for the faint hearted" and with that $5000 stereo system , perhaps well suited to the faint of hearing. But how many fit young deaf people can afford one?
Uncle Posted 26June, 2014 Report Share Posted 26June, 2014 Think of it this way Taz. It's really easy weight loss.

You need to own it and drive it in the source country for 12 months, and you're not allowed to leave for another longer than 6 weeks or something. Anyone up for a NZ sabbatical? Or you have a kiwi cousin who can 'buy' it for you and then emigrate to Oz. Lucky we have all these rules to protect our local motor industry. If people could buy Porsches at the same prices as the rest of the world, Holden and Ford would go broke and have to close. Oh wait. /rant ByronBayChris, Metal and Ben C3.o

Mike D'Silva Posted 7July, 2014 Report Share Posted 7July, 2014 how cool would it be, to buy something like this, pay for it, fly over for a few weeks holiday.. drive the car around, drop it off at the ports in california or wherever, then fly back. I do have about 3 months worth of annual leave stored up... might not be a job waiting for me when i get back... but man the experience! Dreaming away.... That's a life dream I have too ^^ the USA is such an awesome country to drive in. I always wanted to buy a muscle car fly over and join the hot rod power tour, then send it home... I Wouldn't mind a short fling with a classic porsche too, then send it home
