What's for sale (Internationally) that's interesting Thread

I'm after a little bit of advice guys. I'm considering putting my small collection of cars up for auction. They are all a bit bonkers to say the least. Is there still interest from Australia and NZ for importing Porsches and the like or would that be a waste of time? Amongst them I have a proper collectors spec Spyder and I've noticed quite a few have been imported from the UK to NZ over the last few years. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

For interest, it will be this little lot going up if it happens:

If they're cheap enough compared to what you'd pay for a local car (20-30% cheaper, factoring in freight and duties etc) then I can't see why you wouldn't get interest here. Especially if they're a bit off centre from stock like the Alfa

Happy to be corrected, but I thought cars younger than 25 years couldn't be imported unless as a private import? So you can bring the car with you, but need to have owned the car a reasonable time and residence in that country...

I think you can still import - but you won't be able to get them road registered.

I could see there been interest in your cars

Yes, good cars any marque will find a home here as , oz cars in UK.

Australia also tends to have higher secondhand prices for later model Porsche, your 996 is a stellar build  and has my interest ever since reading about it , though as mentioned above issues re: exchange rates import costs duties payable may  cause a dampening of enthusiasms

on the other hand if you went to the trouble of importing them personally and then selling here perhaps an altogether different discussion

the Alfa to paraphrase @symsy is a #horny-hot-dog-of-a-rod , I would think get bids from any country if auctioned.

Bang on the money I think. One sold in SA about a month ago with a few more thousand km's for just slightly less.....

The chap at Porshaden in Adelaide was talking up some big $ numbers on 3.2 cars that he was selling. I don’t know how correct he was but seemed to speak with authority on the subject.
They certainly aren’t changing hands for those prices around here.
